Hideo Mizuta

Born in Kojimachi, Tokyo, Japan in 1939. Moved to Shanghai, China when he was 3 years old and came back to Tokyo before the end of Second World War. Graduated from the Department of Living Design, Kuwazawa Design School in 1962. After graduation, he worked for the publicity section of Toyoko Department Store (presently known as Tokyu Department Store) as a graphic designer. Then he joined Nouvel, an advertising production company, and eventually became a free-lance illustrator. He has directed various works including illustrations for advertisements or publications, character goods, calendars and packagings. Now he engages both in illustrations and in tableaux.
